Reviewer verdict

Across 29 YouTube reviews, the OnePlus 12R earns an Index score of 3.7/5, ranking #74 among Smartphones. Reviewers most often praise its battery life, display, design and build, while the most common criticisms concern camera, design and build.

The OnePlus 12R is repeatedly praised for its exceptional battery life and very fast charging, with many reviewers (60 mentions) highlighting the large 5,500 mAh cell and included high‑watt charger that yields full charges in roughly 25–35 minutes and excellent real‑world endurance. Reviewers (40 mentions) also consistently commend its smooth, flagship‑level performance and gaming capability driven by Snapdragon 8‑series silicon, plus well‑managed thermals. The 6.78-inch 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED display earns frequent praise (39 mentions) for brightness, outdoor visibility, and adaptive refresh, while build quality and materials including Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP water resistance, and a premium metal/glass feel are noted positively (34 mentions). Software responsiveness, haptics and value for money also come up as strengths across multiple reviews, with reviewers often emphasizing the competitive price and bundled extras like the charger and good storage/RAM options.

The most common criticism targets the camera package (63 mentions), with reviewers calling out the downgraded secondary sensors (notably a useless 2 MP macro and an 8 MP ultrawide), the lack of a telephoto, and uneven video/selfie performance compared with higher‑end models. Design and build complaints (23 mentions) focus on the curved, glossy back that attracts fingerprints, slippery handling, and only mid‑level IP resistance versus some competitors. Reviewers also noted compromises versus the latest flagships in chipset and benchmarks (13 mentions) since the phone uses a prior‑generation Snapdragon, and several reviews repeatedly pointed out the absence of wireless charging (11 mentions). A smaller group flagged reduced software update guarantees and slower storage options on some trims (8–7 mentions).
