Reviewer verdict

Across 29 YouTube reviews, the 70mai A810 earns an Index score of 4.3/5, ranking #16 among Dash Cams. Reviewers most often praise its features, video quality, night vision, while the most common criticisms concern features, video quality.

The A810 is widely praised for its front 4K video performance driven by the Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor, with many reviewers (86 feature mentions, 57 specifically on video quality) highlighting crisp daytime and strong low‑light/night footage, HDR support, and the ability to zoom in to read details like license plates. Reviewers also consistently appreciate the dual‑channel design (front plus rear), parking/Guardian modes with AI motion and collision detection, and a robust feature set including ADAS, GPS, timelapse parking, and optional 4G/hardwire connectivity. Ease of installation and use, a large non‑touch IPS screen, solid build, and a fast, well‑rated companion app were mentioned by multiple reviewers, reinforcing that the camera is feature‑rich and user‑friendly. Many reviewers consider it good value for money given the sensor and capabilities, with repeated comments that it offers top‑tier imaging and features at a competitive price point.

Common criticisms center on the rear camera and accessory omissions: the bundled rear module records only 1080p (frequent comment) and several reviewers noted noticeably lower rear/night quality and occasional frame‑rate or compression artifacts. Reviewers also flagged practical downsides such as no included microSD card, some HDR ghosting or smearing in certain lighting, and the need to purchase or hardwire additional kits (parking/4G) for full functionality. Reliability and power concerns appeared repeatedly: a number of reviewers pointed out battery versus supercapacitor usage, sensitivity of collision detection on rough roads, and potential battery/heat limitations, and several mentioned minor usability or installation annoyances like cable length, adhesive shortages, and occasional app/connection quirks.

Analysis based on 29 YouTube reviews (4h 55m of video) with 432 pros and 96 cons extracted.
