The Burst Pro Air is widely praised for its build quality and durability, with many reviewers (59 mentions) highlighting solid construction, excellent heat‑treated PTFE skates, a very good scroll wheel, and long‑life optical switches. Reviewers also commonly praise the comfort and ergonomics (38 mentions), calling the shape safe and comfortable for claw and fingertip grips, well balanced and lightweight. Connectivity and battery life receive frequent positive notes (37 mentions) for reliable 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth options, USB‑C charging and multi‑mode convenience, and many reviewers liked the side button placement and Titan optical switches for tactile feedback and customization (29 mentions). Aesthetic design, value, sensor performance and software customization were also noted positively by multiple reviewers, though less frequently than build, comfort and connectivity.
Criticisms mostly center on the primary and side button feel and switch characteristics (47 mentions), with many reviewers describing the optical switches as mushy, heavy or lacking the snappy tactile feedback they expect. Build and material complaints (25 mentions) include a less‑refined top coating, some creaking or flex, and an inflexible included cable. Several reviewers raised connectivity and battery nuances (18 mentions) such as wired mode feeling more responsive than wireless, occasional dongle/firmware issues, and unclear battery reporting, while size and weight (17 mentions) drew criticism for being heavier or wider than expected for an "air" model.
