Reviewer verdict

Across 20 YouTube reviews, the Hisense C2 Ultra earns an Index score of 4.5/5, ranking #5 among Projectors. Reviewers most often praise its features, setup, sound quality, while the most common criticisms concern portability, image quality.

The Hisense C2 Ultra is widely praised for combining a bright, triple‑laser 4K picture with extensive smart TV and gaming features, a point noted across a majority of reviews (many comments). Reviewers frequently highlight its Vida/VA OS smart platform with built‑in streaming apps, Xbox certification and very low input lag/240 Hz support for gaming, and rich HDR support including Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced. Multiple reviewers also emphasize easy setup and flexible placement via the gimbal/swivel stand, strong built‑in JBL 2.1 audio, and the projector's high 3,000 lumen brightness and wide BT.2020 color coverage. Overall, critics consistently call out its premium design, responsive OS, and feature set that make it a versatile home theater and gaming projector across many use cases.

Criticisms are concentrated on portability and some picture limitations: several reviewers note the unit is fairly heavy and bulky for frequent travel despite being more portable than a TV. Image concerns mentioned by multiple reviewers include black levels and contrast not matching higher‑end competitors, potential color fringing for eyeglass wearers, and reduced contrast in bright/ambient light conditions. A smaller group raise software and feature annoyances such as VA/Vida OS lacking Google account integration, home‑screen ads, and a less extensive app ecosystem than Google TV, plus occasional inaccuracies in auto keystone/obstacle avoidance.
