The Crocodile5 Baby is widely praised for its flight performance, with many reviewers (42 mentions) calling it smooth, locked-in, powerful and suitable for both freestyle and long-range/park flying. Reviewers also frequently note useful built-in features (36 mentions) such as GPS/rescue, a beeper, F7/F722 flight controller options, and support for full DJI or Caddx air units and GoPro-sized cameras. Build quality and lightweight, durable construction (27 mentions) are regularly highlighted, along with easy serviceability and tidy assembly that make it simple to work on. Some reviewers reported flight-character nitpicks (10 mentions) such as underdamped or twitchy tunes, wind performance shortcomings, and a landing bounce tendency, and a number of users called out prop and camera shortcomings or fragility after crashes (9 mentions durability, 7 mentions camera).

Flight Performance (10)

It doesn't do that great in the wind ▶ GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5 Long Range Test (6Km x 2) @ 1:47
The tune could be improved. ▶ GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5 @ 0:53
i really have to increase camera angle, i'm missing on speed i need more speed ▶ GEPRC Crocodile Baby Long Range FPV Racing Drone Caddx Ratel @ 6:13
It can be a bit twitchy or jumpy in the air, which can be a little weird to get used to. ▶ GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5 @ 1:08
i didn't really find that in this drone if you want to some some freestyle moves like flips and things you can do it i'm not saying that it doesn't do it what i'm saying is that it felt a little bit like trying to cut a tomato with a plastic knife ▶ GEPRC Crocodile 5 - Review @ 5:38
if you're looking to use it for freestyle i would say think a little bit about it um there might be some of the choices are a little bit better ▶ GEPRC Crocodile 5 - Review @ 8:28
the tune that came on it was a little underdamped ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 12:44
now we have to talk about the freestyle part of this drone. when i did unboxing i was questioning a little bit the fact of one drone working for two different functions long range and freestyle are two very different things ▶ GEPRC Crocodile 5 - Review @ 4:56
these batteries the lithium-ion the lithium-ion batteries they're pretty heavy uh and in acro mode it feels a little cumbersome flying with it ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 14:56
one other little observation about it in landing is it has a tendency to bounce when it lands ▶ Long Range, Long Flight Time, Cruiser Quad - GEP RC Crocodil @ 4:30

Durability (9)

The props can get damaged in crashes. ▶ GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5 @ 0:50
the props that it comes with i do not like, they were this two-in-one so they had a larger hole in the middle that you could put on like a larger motor but then had these little notches where you could put these two screws in so i used them on the first flight but i think they're easily going to damage your motors by tweaking the screws or pulling them out ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 7:39
this one despite is a five inches uses a special kind of prop where you need to screw uh the props like you do with a 3.5 or 2.5 drones which means that the normal props that you have for your other five inches it's not gonna work on this one and you're gonna have to pack on new new props just for this it's the same for the crocodile four you're gonna have to buy four inches props for that one so it's it's not a big deal ▶ GEPRC Crocodile 5 - Review @ 7:48
one of my propellers breaks off goes flying ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 7:42
all the blades were shot ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 9:33

you could see like hairline cracks in them ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 9:36
these blades seem to be crap and i thought that um gemfan was a good brand but maybe they're not maybe there are better blades ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 12:03

Camera Quality (7)

on about half of my footage here i use the original cam which is the normal nebula cam which is shitty, you see it it's over saturated you cannot change 16 by 9 to 4 by 3 ▶ 3.5" is my new freestyle favorite! GepRC Smart35 Review @ 2:39
for camera they went with caddix not my favorite ▶ Meet The Baby Croc From GepRC // Long Range FPV Machine @ 3:09
there's some post smoothing you can do with some hdi foot a dji footage here and there but i don't know it's complicated it doesn't doesn't work all that well ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 8:53
it's going to be a little shaky ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 9:14
if you really want smooth footage you're going to need to get some sort of action cam on here to do that for you ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 8:46
the downside however though is you're gonna get some shakes in that, as you saw there you know we had some slight wind, eight to ten miles an hour today and uh you know dji doesn't smooth that stuff out ▶ GEPRC Baby Crock 5 Review @ 8:31
my review unit was a vista with enable and nano and of course the first thing that i did was to change the camera to a vista camera you know i'm not a fan of the nebula nano camera ▶ GEPRC Crocodile 5 - Review @ 1:35

props are really close to the GoPro mount ▶ I put a DJI O3 in a GEPRC Crocodile 5 and here’s the flight @ 2:20
the only negative thing i could say at this point is that the front standoffs get it in the way of putting in a thicker battery strap ▶ GepRC Crocodile Baby, Unboxing, Review, Flight + CRASH!!!! @ 3:12
the moto wires should have been longer as these ones for example are too short and can be pulled off in case of a crash ▶ Geprc Crocodile Baby - Review, Setup & Flight Footage @ 8:33
