Reviewers most often praise its sound quality, controls and features, comfort and fit, while the most common criticisms concern noise cancellation, controls and features.

The Final ZE8000 MK2 is repeatedly praised for its exceptional sound quality, with reviewers (105 mentions) calling the tuning detailed, balanced and one of the best-sounding true wireless options they’ve heard, highlighting strong mids, clear treble, tight textured bass and an expansive, three-dimensional soundstage. Many reviewers also noted reliable controls and useful app features (19 mentions) such as customizable EQ, touch controls and Snapdragon/8K-related processing options, and frequently mentioned comfort and fit (13 mentions) with multiple tip sizes and a secure, ergonomic design that supports long listening sessions. Build quality, design cues and connectivity features (each mentioned across several reviews) were also positively noted, including durable materials, IPX4 resistance and support for modern codecs and multipoint/aptX options. Overall there is broad agreement that the ZE8000 MK2 stands out mostly for audio fidelity and a refined listening experience.

Criticisms center on underwhelming noise control: many reviewers (21 mentions) described ANC, transparency and ambient modes as weak, inconsistent or introducing artifacts, and wind handling as problematic. Software and control frustrations were common (20 mentions), with complaints about a limited or buggy app, awkward touch control behavior, EQ that appears ineffective and unintuitive gesture requirements. Several reviewers also flagged practical tradeoffs: large, bulky design and case size with mixed comfort (18 mentions for design, 14 mentions for fit), below‑average battery life and lack of wireless charging (15 mentions), and some connectivity or call glitches reported by a minority. In short, excellent sound is tempered by software, ANC, ergonomics and battery compromises that multiple reviewers found notable.

  • “Wind Cut” mode helps to cut out the rushing wind sound that you can get in earbuds on a windy day. It’s similar to the sound of wind rushing past an open car door window.. THIS mode works really well and completely eliminates it. I use it when I’m out walking the dog all the time. ▶ 6 THINGS TO KNOW before buying wireless earbuds! | Final ZE8 @ 7:41

  • Again, Tier D. It performed worse than the SoundPeats Capsule3 Pro and the 1More Evo. The voices didn’t sound all too clear and were somewhat suppressed. The low end is very much still cancelled. It’s good enough to go for a walk outdoors and be aware of your surroundings, but don’t expect a very natural ambient experience. Or even thinking you can walk around the office or at home talking to people with the buds in your ears. ▶ Better than the Sennheiser IE 200? Final ZE8000 Audiophile @ 4:08
