Reviewer verdict

Across 25 YouTube reviews, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra earns an Index score of 3.9/5, ranking #39 among Smartphones. Reviewers most often praise its software, camera, design and build, while the most common criticisms concern software, camera.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is widely praised for its software experience and new AI features, with reviewers frequently highlighting One UI 6.1, Galaxy AI tools, and seven‑year software support (software mentioned in 64 pro points). The S Pen and Samsung DeX are repeatedly cited as distinctive, practical advantages that improve productivity and multitasking. Reviewers also consistently applaud the camera system (52 pro points) — especially zoom capabilities, versatile video features, and strong overall image/video quality — and many compliment the premium design, titanium frame and tougher Gorilla Glass Armor that improve durability and feel. Other commonly noted strengths include a bright, high‑quality flat display, top‑tier performance from the Snapdragon chipset, and solid battery endurance across real‑world use tests.

Criticisms center on software rough edges and AI limitations, with many reviewers pointing out quirks in One UI, inconsistent or slow AI tools, translation inaccuracies, and bugs or UX inconsistencies (software appears in 44 con points). The camera receives specific complaints despite praise, including telephoto/zoom tradeoffs, oversharpening, low‑light tuning issues, and that the 200MP mode is often unnecessary (36 con points). Design criticisms focus on size, sharp corners, and some ergonomic complaints about heft and one‑hand use, plus mixed feelings about haptics (21 con points). Price and value are also common negatives, with multiple reviewers calling the phone expensive and iterative relative to its cost (14 con points), and some noting slower charging and battery tradeoffs versus competitors.

Samsung has been highlighting the new AI features on its s24 smartphones that aren't directly S Pen related. All these AI features are on the regular s24. So AI is the sort of standout feature on all the S4s this year. Essentially Samsung partnered with Google to achieve things like live translate where you can translate text messages and even phone calls in real time between different languages. There's chat assist and notes formatting where you'll get suggestions and edits for all of your typed text generative editing and photos. So nearly Photoshop like experience where you can edit objects move people around fill in the background and a whole lot more. And probably my favorite AI feature Circle to search a combination of like reverse image search and Google lens on steroids where you can Circle or select anything from any app or anything on screen and get more information about whatever it is you're looking at ▶ Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Unboxing, Hands-On & First Impressi @ 9:27
