The GeForce RTX 4080 Super is widely praised for its strong gaming performance, with many reviewers (89 mentions) reporting consistent gains at 1440p and 4K, smooth high-FPS play, and notably improved ray tracing and DLSS/frame-gen benefits. Reviewers also frequently highlight the card's features and extras (49 mentions) — built‑in power connector convenience, out‑of‑the‑box overclocks, DLSS 3/frame generation support, and useful accessories like anti‑sag brackets. Value receives repeated positive notes (30 mentions) due to the lower MSRP compared to the original 4080, making it a more attractive price/performance option for the high end. Numerous reviews also compliment AIB cooling and acoustics (27 cooling mentions, 13 noise mentions) and solid build quality and aesthetics across vendor models (19 mentions).

Criticisms concentrate on modest performance uplifts versus previous cards (60 gaming con mentions), with many reviewers calling the Super a small or underwhelming upgrade over the original 4080 and noting AMD's 7900 XTX can still lead in some titles. Price remained a recurring concern (27 mentions), as some reviewers feel pricing and per‑frame value can be unfavorable versus alternatives or specific AIB premiums. Feature complaints (25 mentions) include a lack of meaningful architectural changes, limited VRAM/memory bus upgrades for competing workloads, and some vendor models missing desired extras like RGB or dual BIOS. A smaller set of reviewers reported fitment, power, or software headaches (compatibility, power, and driver mentions across the dataset).
