Reviewers praise the GMKtec NucBox M6 for delivering strong desktop-class performance, with many (63 mentions) highlighting its Ryzen-based multi‑core CPU and capable integrated RDNA graphics for productivity, light 4K editing, emulation, and playable 1080p gaming. The compact, well-cooled chassis and quiet operation under typical loads are repeatedly noted (44 mentions) along with easy internal access and solid upgradability for RAM and NVMe storage (38 mentions). Its wide connectivity — including multi‑display support, dual 2.5Gb Ethernet and modern USB/USB‑C/USB4 options — is frequently commended (35 mentions), and multiple reviewers call it a very good value for the performance offered (21 mentions).

Criticisms center on the chassis and thermal/noise behavior under heavy load (19 mentions), with several reviewers finding the plastic build, intrusive or noisy fans and high temperatures in performance mode concerning for long‑term use. Reviewers also caution that gaming and GPU‑heavy workloads are limited (14 mentions), often only delivering low‑setting, 30–40 FPS results on demanding titles and lacking a discrete GPU option. A smaller group raised connectivity and layout annoyances (9 mentions) — notably that the USB4 port isn’t Thunderbolt and some ports are inconveniently placed — plus basic software/UEFI and documentation limitations (5 mentions).
