we don't know exact iteration of noise cancelling and the fact that they're being vague about it is probably not going to be the latest so as to not compete with the lifestyle stuff ▶ SONY INZONE H9 Gaming Headset - These are AWESOME but BEWARE @ 0:40
my one complaint about ambient mode however is that as i move around the room the side microphones that are in charge of anc pick up air movement and that's unfortunate it sounds like someone's breathing into my ears even though the microphone is fully muted in the upright position and that's unfortunate ▶ SONY INZONE H9 Gaming Headset - These are AWESOME but BEWARE @ 5:43

definitely not if you care at all about the microphone quality because the corsair hs80 puts this thing and the steel series headset to shame ▶ SONY INZONE H9 Gaming Headset - These are AWESOME but BEWARE @ 11:15
if it's going through this chord chat I've been told that my voice sounded like I'm underwater it was cutting in cutting out at times it seems like this chord applies aggressive noise gating so if I'm not speaking loud enough it just cuts me off this is actually a tactic to reduce background noise but it's also making it difficult a bit more tricky to be heard I guess ▶ The Gamer's WH-1000XM5 😲 Sony INZONE H9 Review @ 8:04
it wasn't able to cancel as much noise as the mark 5S ▶ The Gamer's WH-1000XM5 😲 Sony INZONE H9 Review @ 10:15

even if the microphone wasn't too bad it wasn't that great either ▶ The Gamer's WH-1000XM5 😲 Sony INZONE H9 Review @ 11:36
it could be Discord or it could be the h9's microphone applying an additional layer of noise gating which has a compounding effect on how I sound to my friends through this chord I tried different settings on this chord but it seems to have very little effect ▶ The Gamer's WH-1000XM5 😲 Sony INZONE H9 Review @ 9:07

the obvious low point there is the mic performance ▶ Inzone H9: SONY Does PC GAMING?? @ 8:07
sounds like a low tier gaming headset mic doesn't do much for levels or overall volume or vocal clarity or richness and it doesn't really do a lot in terms of background noise cancellation either ▶ Inzone H9: SONY Does PC GAMING?? @ 3:04

tomito i don't like it it's expand the sound stage but at the compromise of losing some details in especially in the mid-range and yeah that's not something that i would recommend even though that they have the whole thing of like taking the photo of the ear uploading it through a different application and then syncing it to here no just a hassle stereo presentation here is king the way it should be played ▶ SONY INZONE H9 Gaming Headset - These are AWESOME but BEWARE @ 9:27
