The Matrix Plus 2-in-1 Robot is widely praised for its automated maintenance features, especially the self-emptying, bagless base and washable/HEPA filtration that reviewers mention repeatedly (maintenance comments appear most often). Additional common positives include a user-friendly app/setup, smart features like voice control and scheduling, and generally powerful suction reported across several reviews.

Criticisms center on imperfect navigation and object detection, with multiple reviewers reporting the bumper/LiDAR misses, occasional getting stuck, inconsistent table-leg handling, and mapping quirks. Reviewers also note cleaning limitations despite improvements—edge and deep carpet cleaning are sometimes incomplete and the single side brush and small dust cup were mentioned as drawbacks. App limitations, sparse documentation, and limited customization in the mobile experience were frequently reported, and some users called out noisy self-emptying and mop-drying that is not hot-air based or fully hands-off.
