Reviewer verdict

Across 27 YouTube reviews, the Ducky One 3 SF earns an Index score of 3.9/5, ranking #42 among Gaming Keyboards. Reviewers most often praise its features, build quality, aesthetics/design, while the most common criticisms concern build quality, software/customization.

The One 3 SF is frequently praised for packing many quality features and accessories, with reviewers (78 mentions) highlighting a five-pin hot-swap PCB, thick silicone and EVA foam dampening, detachable braided USB-C cable, dip switches, and included tools and extras that bring it close to a custom board experience. Many reviewers (48 mentions) also emphasize solid build quality and a reassuringly heavy, rock‑solid feel with good factory stabilizers and minimal flex. Aesthetics and keycap quality are repeatedly noted (32 and 23 mentions respectively), with bright RGB, attractive colorways, and durable double‑shot PBT keycaps that reviewers say feel great. Reviewers also commonly compliment the switches and sound (22 mentions) and the compact 65% layout and ergonomics (12 mentions) as delivering an overall excellent typing and gaming experience.

Criticisms cluster around build choices and finish (31 mentions), with many reviewers calling out the all‑plastic case, easily scratched white plate, occasional stabilizer issues or light factory lube, and some reports of port failure. The lack of desktop customization software and a cumbersome onboard programming workflow is a frequent complaint (27 mentions), with reviewers saying recording macros and changing settings via key combos is tedious. Aesthetic and keycap tradeoffs draw criticism (24 and 16 mentions), including polarizing colorways, non‑color‑matched cable, north‑facing LEDs that limit shine‑through, and non‑transparent legends, and several reviewers wished for missing features like a volume wheel or wireless/multi‑device support (16 mentions).
