Reviewer verdict

Across 32 YouTube reviews, the Powerbeats Pro 2 earns an Index score of 3.7/5, ranking #67 among True Wireless Earbuds. Reviewers most often praise its controls and features, comfort and fit, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern controls and features, value for money.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 earns high praise for its exceptionally secure and stable ear-hook design, which keeps the earbuds locked in place during the most vigorous workouts. Reviewers consistently celebrate the outstanding battery life, offering up to 10 hours per charge and 45 hours total with the new, smaller case. The addition of effective Active Noise Cancellation and a natural-sounding Transparency Mode makes them highly versatile. A key advantage is the inclusion of physical buttons and volume rockers on each earbud, providing reliable, tactile control that is far superior to touch controls when sweaty or wearing gloves. The built-in heart rate monitor is another standout feature, offering a convenient, all-in-one fitness tracking solution that integrates well with many apps.

The most significant drawback is the headline heart rate monitoring feature, which reviewers found to be unreliable, with poor accuracy during dynamic activities like running and frustratingly limited app compatibility, especially on iOS. Despite being smaller than its predecessor, the charging case is still frequently criticized for being large and bulky compared to more pocket-friendly alternatives. While the active noise cancellation and sound quality are solid improvements, many feel they don’t quite match the performance of other top-tier earbuds at the same $250 price point. The lack of features like a case speaker for precision finding and true multipoint connectivity are also common complaints.
