Reviewer verdict

Across 36 YouTube reviews, the TicWatch Pro 5 earns an Index score of 3.9/5, ranking #10 among Smartwatches. Reviewers most often praise its design & comfort, features, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern software/os, design & comfort.

Reviewers consistently praise the TicWatch Pro 5 for its exceptional multi-day battery life, a standout feature in the Wear OS market. This impressive longevity is largely attributed to its innovative dual-layer display, which combines a vibrant OLED panel with a power-sipping LCD for glanceable information. Performance is another major highlight, with the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip and 2GB of RAM ensuring a smooth, lag-free user experience when navigating apps and menus. The watch also boasts a premium, durable build with a satisfying rotating crown for navigation, comprehensive health and fitness tracking, and fast charging, all of which contribute to its excellent overall value for Android users.

The most significant and frequently cited drawback is the complete lack of Google Assistant, a baffling omission for a modern Wear OS device. This issue is compounded by concerns over Mobvoi's historically slow and unreliable software update schedule, leaving users uncertain about future support. Many reviewers also criticized the reliance on a proprietary pogo-pin charger instead of a more convenient wireless charging standard. Other common complaints include the bulky design that may not suit smaller wrists, a stock silicone band that feels cheap, and the absence of a cellular (LTE) model.
