Reviewer verdict

Across 19 YouTube reviews, the MSI Raider GE68 HX earns an Index score of 3.9/5, ranking #33 among Gaming PCs & Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, build quality, connectivity, while the most common criticisms concern display, build quality.

The Raider GE68 HX impresses reviewers most for its top-tier performance, with many praising the high-end Intel CPUs, powerful Nvidia GPUs and fast storage and RAM—performance was the most frequently mentioned positive across reviews. Reviewers also consistently compliment the solid build quality and premium materials, noting sturdy hinges, minimal flex, good upgradability and a variety of thoughtful design touches. Connectivity and display are other recurring strengths: reviewers highlight abundant ports (Thunderbolt 4, SD card slot, Ethernet, multiple USBs and fast Wi‑Fi) and high-refresh, color-rich panels (QHD/240Hz and OLED options) in many models. Additional commonly noted positives include a well-received SteelSeries keyboard and touchpad, capable cooling solutions, and improved onboard audio/software features reported by multiple reviewers.

Criticisms center on the display and build tradeoffs: several reviewers called certain panels underwhelming for a premium laptop (color accuracy, HDR handling, backlight bleed and inconsistent response times) despite some high-refresh/OLED options. The chassis is often described as large and heavy with awkward access or fragile clips, and reviewers repeatedly mention loud fans, thermal throttling or high surface temperatures under load. Other recurring negatives include keyboard/trackpad layout quirks (cramped keys, palm rejection issues), mediocre or problematic webcams and charging connectors, and an overall high price that many said makes value dependent on discounts.
