Reviewer verdict
Across 6 YouTube reviews, the Rotor Riot Skyeliner HD Freestyle earns an Index score of 3.9/5, ranking #21 among FPV Drones. Reviewers most often praise its other, build quality, flight performance, while the most common criticisms concern flight performance, build quality.
The Skyeliner HD Freestyle is widely praised for its overall flight experience and versatile three-and-a-half-inch freestyle frame, with many reviewers (about two dozen mentions) calling it a favorite and noting it flies like a larger quad while being quiet and discreet. Reviewers frequently highlight strong power and punch (multiple mentions) and consistently praise the build quality and rigid, high-quality carbon/printed parts (around a dozen mentions) that make it durable and upgradeable. The HD feed and integrated mounts (GoPro/antenna) and the camera-ready design are also noted as good enough for social and near-YouTube use. Several reviewers additionally point to good value for money and ease of assembly, saying it’s relatively inexpensive and straightforward to build and maintain.
Criticisms focus mainly on weight and handling limits, with several reviewers pointing out the drone is heavier than comparable models and that extra braces and a heavier build reduce top-end responsiveness (five mentions). Build concerns are noted around arm attachment and potential movement or looseness (about four mentions), plus a few comments about fragile cables or stock antennas that could be improved. Durability-related gripes include breakable props and parts that can loosen after crashes, and a handful of reviewers felt the tune and some features could be refined or that the product may seem pricey to some.
