Reviewer verdict

Across 14 YouTube reviews, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2024) 2-in-1 earns an Index score of 4.1/5, ranking #23 among Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its design & build quality, performance, software & operating system, while the most common criticisms concern value for money, software & operating system.

The Microsoft Surface Pro (2024) earns praise for its exceptional blend of power and portability. At its core is the new Snapdragon X Elite processor, delivering impressively fast and efficient performance that handles demanding multitasking with ease, supported by ample RAM. The device's visual centerpiece is a stunning 13-inch OLED touchscreen, celebrated for its vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth responsiveness. This premium display, combined with the iconic adjustable kickstand and a sleek, lightweight magnesium alloy chassis, solidifies its position as a top-tier 2-in-1. It provides true versatility for professionals and creatives, offering all-day battery life and new AI-driven Copilot Plus features that enhance productivity for a wide range of tasks.

The primary drawback of the Surface Pro (2024) is its premium price tag, which is significantly inflated by the separate purchase of the expensive Flex Keyboard and Surface Pen. While touted as an "AI PC," many of its key AI features were delayed or are considered underdeveloped and not yet compelling in their current state. Furthermore, the ARM-based processor can lead to compatibility issues with certain Windows applications and games. The kickstand design also remains less stable for on-the-lap use compared to traditional clamshell laptops, and some users may miss having more built-in ports like USB-A.
