Reviewer verdict

Across 27 YouTube reviews, the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B earns an Index score of 3.7/5, ranking #65 among Gaming Monitors. Reviewers most often praise its image quality, size & resolution, design & build quality, while the most common criticisms concern size & resolution, image quality.

The UltraGear 45GR95QE-B is widely praised for its OLED image quality, with many reviewers (57 mentions) highlighting deep blacks, very high contrast and vibrant, accurate colors alongside strong HDR performance and excellent panel uniformity. Reviewers frequently commend the 45-inch 21:9 curved 800R form factor and 3440x1440 resolution (54 mentions) for delivering immersive gaming and ample screen real estate for multitasking. Gaming-focused features also receive strong positive attention (28 mentions), notably the native 240 Hz support, G-Sync/FreeSync compatibility and very low response times that reviewers say make fast-paced gaming feel smooth and responsive. The monitor’s design and build, including thin bezels, a sturdy stand, anti-glare coating and premium finish, are also commonly noted as positives (27 mentions).

Criticisms center on real-world HDR brightness and image artifacts (34 mentions), with reviewers reporting uneven columnar peak brightness, banding, and that HDR performance can be underwhelming compared with expectations. The large 45" ultrawide size at 3440x1440 yields a relatively low pixel density and aggressive curve (31 mentions), which reviewers say can soften text, introduce color fringing around fine text, and make the display less suitable for productivity or creative work. Other recurring downsides include limited versatility and ergonomics for desktop use, risk of OLED burn-in and missing features such as built-in speakers or a USB-C port (multiple aspect groups), plus complaints about the monitor’s physical footprint and the external power adapter. Reviewers also note the high price and that some picture settings or controls are awkward to access.
